— A man accused of killing a driver who tried to flee from an Uber cab is pleading not guilty.
Court documents obtained by The Associated Press show John Thomas Jr. admitted to killing 19-year-old Matthew Lee in December and pleading not to a charge of first-degree murder.
Prosecutors say Thomas shot Lee in the head while he was driving the Uber X driver home from work.
Thomas was charged with two counts of first degree murder.
He faces up to life in prison if convicted.
