Verizon Wireless has added customer service numbers to its list of selectable services and will soon offer a new mobile phone customer service line that will be available in the United States, the company announced Monday.
The service, which will be offered at Verizon Wireless stores, is similar to that of the existing customer service phone line but it will include features that Verizon customers are not currently able to access.
Verizon Wireless customers will be able to call 800-323-7888 and have their phone number recorded, said company spokesman Michael Nelms.
Verizon Wireless is partnering with a local phone company to test the new customer service service number service and will be launching the new line in select markets in early October.
Nelms said that customers will not be able call a customer service rep on the other end of the phone, but they will be directed to the customer service site, which also includes a number for the local police.
