Verizon is rolling out its own Fios-branded mobile phone service in the US, but it’s only now getting its feet wet with customers.
The move follows the rollout of the Fios One, which is currently available in only six states, and a similar Fios Direct service.
“Verizon Fios is the first of a new wave of new services to come from Fios, and it marks the start of our ongoing commitment to our customers and the work we’ve done to bring the Fio experience to customers,” wrote Fios president and CEO, David Lassiter, in a blog post announcing the partnership.
“As customers, we know that our experience matters most, and that Fios brings great value to customers in every state.”
In addition to offering phone plans, Verizon Fios also offers a number of apps and services that customers can use on their Fios devices.
For instance, it allows users to check email, manage their accounts, and even make calls to anyone in the U.S. or abroad.
As part of its customer service initiative, Verizon is also launching a dedicated Fios app that allows customers to sign up for alerts, text messages, and more.
“Our customer service team is working to ensure that all of our customers are receiving the right kind of support, and we’re excited to welcome Fios to the Verizon family,” said Lassit, in the blog post.
