While the buddy notifications feature is great for sharing games, it doesn’t really do much to protect your privacy or protect you from spam or unwanted content.
The problem is that many apps like Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, and Snapchat all use buddy notifications to share messages that you send or receive.
But none of these apps actually block these messages from being sent or received by other users.
And while you should never send messages to your buddy from a third-party app, it’s also important to avoid sending messages to someone you’re not in a relationship with.
